China has urged the United Kingdom to ensure a fair and non-discriminatory business environment for Chinese companies, as both nations aim to enhance cooperation and strengthen their bilateral ties. This call for a supportive business climate was made by Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi during the 11th China-UK Strategic Dialogue held in Beijing. Wang expressed hope that the UK would foster favorable conditions for Chinese enterprises, thereby facilitating the ongoing development of relations between the two countries.
The dialogue underscored the renewed exchanges and collaboration across multiple sectors, which have resumed following recent high-level meetings. Wang highlighted the importance of maintaining open lines of communication, expanding practical cooperation, and endorsing multilateralism amid the rising global uncertainties. UK Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper reiterated Britain’s dedication to maintaining stable and constructive relations with China.
